Insomnia Evaluation, Therapy & Medication Management

Insomnia can include trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, waking too early, or feeling unrefreshed. Poor sleep can make almost everything harder: mood, focus, anxiety, patience, energy, work, and relationships.

Medtriq helps adults across Washington understand sleep problems in the context of mental health care. Insomnia can be connected to anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance use, medical conditions, medications, stress, or a combination of factors.

Care may include evaluation, medication management, and therapy on a limited basis.

Why sleep evaluation matters

Sleep symptoms can have many causes. A clinical evaluation may review sleep schedule, mood, anxiety, trauma symptoms, substance use, medical conditions, medications, safety concerns, and what you have already tried.

The goal is to understand what may be driving the insomnia before deciding what type of treatment is most likely to help.

Medication decisions

Medication may be considered when clinically appropriate. Your provider will discuss risks, benefits, alternatives, and monitoring after learning more about your sleep pattern, health history, current medications, and goals.

FAQ

Does Medtriq prescribe sleep medication?

Sleep medication may be considered when clinically appropriate. Your provider may also discuss non-medication supports, treatment of anxiety or depression, sleep routines, or other options depending on what is contributing to the insomnia.

Can insomnia be related to other mental health conditions?

Yes. Sleep problems can overlap with mood, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and substance-use concerns.

What if I have already tried sleep medication before?

That history can be helpful. Your provider may ask what you tried, whether it helped, whether you had side effects, and what your sleep looks like now. Past treatment does not close the door; it helps guide the conversation.

Is therapy provided for insomnia?

Therapy is available on a limited basis depending on clinical fit, provider availability, and appointment capacity. Medtriq does not currently advertise a formal insomnia therapy program.

Does Medtriq accept commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or self-pay for insomnia care?

Medtriq accepts many major commercial insurance plans and self-pay. Medicaid and Medicare may be accepted on a limited basis depending on provider availability and appointment capacity. Completing an intake form or calling/texting Medtriq can help you understand what options may be available.
